  • What do you do now in the arts? It can be anything! Painting, music, acting, sculpting, etc.

    Acting/Entertaining

  • What was the transition like playing your sport to now being an artist? Was it hard? Did you find it easy? Fill free to name some of the highs and lows.

It’s similar as far as work ethic- there really isn’t a time where you aren’t doing something to better your “craft”. The discipline I had from swimming made this easier for me to understand and appreciate about acting. Swimming also taught me to be comfortable being uncomfortable, which has helped me immensely in a lot in difficult filming days!

  • How has working in the arts changed your life?

It’s helped me to see the beauty in the world, as I pay a lot more attention to human motivations/interactions now. It’s also helped me feel more free in my own body!

  • Something you're most proud of in your sports career and something in your arts career

In swimming, I’m most proud of recovering from an injury I THOUGHT would end my career. In acting, I’m most proud anytime I get the chance to be on set!

  •  What piece of advice would you give to someone choosing to go down the same path as you?

It’s a marathon, not a sprint! And LISTEN when life tries to take you in a certain direction; your path may not always be what you originally THINK it is!

  • Anything else people should know about you?

    Not at the moment

  • Where can we find your work? What are your socials? (Exhibitions, Youtube, film festivals, streaming, etc.)

My Instagram is @rebeccastought. You can find most of my work on vertical soap opera apps such as ReelShort, ShortsApp, DramaPops, Shortical, and Vigloo (among others). I also have a comedy horror feature film out on amazon called “Bad CGI Gator”.
